This chapter presents a Efficient 3D Video Processing…?>dynamic cloud computing scheme for efficient resource migration and 3D media content processing in mobile computing environments. It elaborates on location and capacity issues to offload resources from mobile devices due to their processing limitations, towards efficiently manipulating 3D video content. The proposed scheme adopts a rack-based approach that enables cooperative migration for redundant resources to be offloaded towards facilitating 3D media content manipulation. The rack-based approach significantly reduces crash failures that lead all servers to become unavailable within a rack and enables mobile devices with limited processing capabilities to reproduce multimedia services at an acceptable level of quality of experience (QoE). The presented scheme is thoroughly evaluated through simulation tests, where the resource migration policy was used in the context of cloud rack failures for delay-bounded resource availability of mobile users.

Although approximately one million cardiac arrests occur every year in the USA and Europe, cardiac arrest remains a clinical condition still characterized by poor prognosis. One possible explanation may be the fact that although 70% of cardiac arrests take place in out-of-hospital settings, the majority of the victims do not receive basic life support (BLS) prior to the arrival of emergency medical services (EMS). Survival of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest victims strongly depends on prompt cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Survival rates will only improve, if delay time until initiation of CPR is kept to an absolute minimum. Good quality CPR, with an emphasis on chest compressions is a key component for the victims' survival. Drugs play a secondary role in the treatment of these patients. This book presents the latest research in drug therapy in CPR.

Αποτέλεσμα, ήταν να θεσμοθετηθούν νομικοί κανόνες αναφορικά με την πρόσβαση στα μέσα παραγωγής / πηγές ενέργειας καθώς και στην παραγωγή και εμπορία ενέργειας. Οι κανόνες αυτοί σχεδιάστηκαν, ώστε να αντιμετωπίσουν ζητήματα σχετικά με την προστασία του υγιούς ανταγωνισμού, την ανάγκη μη διακριτικής μεταχείρισης, την προσβασιμότητα σε πηγές και δίκτυα ενέργειας, την προστασία του καταναλωτή, την ποιότητα και προσιτότητα των υπηρεσιών, την προστασία του περιβάλλοντος και την αειφόρο ανάπτυξη. H εύρεση, κτήση και εκμετάλλευση των πηγών ενέργειας ενδιαφέρει κατεξοχήν το Δίκαιο, σε διεθνές, ενωσιακό και εθνικό επίπεδο, λόγω της παγκόσμιας διάστασης της σπουδαιότητας της ενέργειας για την κοινωνία, την οικονομία και τη γεωπολιτική. Εχει αυτονομηθεί ένας διακριτός κλάδος Δικαίου, το Δίκαιο της Ενέργειας, το οποίο περαιτέρω διακρίνεται (στο πλαίσιο μιάς φθίνουσας κλίμακας εύρους διεθνικότητας) σε Διεθνές Δίκαιο της Ενέργειας, σε Ενωσιακό Δίκαιο της Ενέργειας και σε Εθνικό Δίκαιο της Ενέργειας.

This book provides an overview of recent and future legal developments concerning the digital era, to examine the extent to which law has or will further evolve in order to adapt to its new digitalized context.
